Re: 10MHz and Beyond!

If you do get the time to make a modification it would be great if you made a user/program settable option. So you could decided upon more “user” code execution time vs VGA resolution as the application needs dictate.

Re: Expansion bus

With all of the work on getting an SPI interface implemented, have you considered the ability to tie two Gigatrons together over an SPI port. Then have one dedicated to Video, Audio, and the other acting and the CPU and serial IO? This would be a very cool way to get a really fast computer from a se...

Re: Keyboard not always recognized.

I had issues too, it found that a higher amperage rated USB cord solved my problems too. I found that many USB/PS2 keyboards are using very minimal cable. So when both are paired together you get a lot of DC loss. One or the other is fine but both together were causing my issues.

Re: Pluggy McPlugface

Thank you for that detailed explanation. At first I wasn’t waiting long enough as I figured something was wrong but I couldn’t find an assembly error. Then I noticed the delay, it’s varies a bit but is consistent. It may be helpful to publish a few recommendations for keyboards that are low power (a...

Re: Pluggy McPlugface PS/2 adapter is available

Has anyone tried to plug an USB keyboard to the adapter, using this kind of converter? I see no a priori reason why it wouldn't work, even though I haven't tested such devices yet. There must be a microcontroller in that plug as well because USB and PS/2 are completely unrelated protocols. But from...

Re: USB Keyboards with Pluggy McPlugface

I had to purchase a PS/2 keyboard just for this computer, the following from Amazon.com and it works: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0075W8C8S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ProHT PS/2 Serial Standard Keyboard (70011), 104 Key Standard Windows Keyboard Works with Windows 98/ME/XP/VI...

Pluggy McPlugface

I had assembled my Gigatron and Pluggy McPlugface (PMPF) kits and all seems to be working well. The only thing that give me trouble was the fact that the PMPF kit took approx. 30-50 seconds to start up (or at least initialize the keyboard). The game controller is usable as soon as the menu is up (1-...
