Re: associate the .gt1 filetype for web autoloading

we all know that a weblink like http://rt.com can be opened with firefox because firefox is associated with http links as well as ftp:// links , possibly gopher:// links and so forth. the guy who made the thunderlink extension (thunderlink is not my project) demonstrates how he defines his own new t...

dual core Gigatron CPU

I guess "dual core Gigatron CPU" was initially my headline; well, I understand the desire of the forum owners to counteract fragmentation of design ideas. But also I agree that undue re-editing of articles by superiors may not sit well with some. Frankly, I dislike reddit for their very heavy interv...

Change XOR to AND and you get another pattern
is it possible to do that on-the-fly using WOZmon at https://gigatron.io/emu/ ? Or does the .gt1 get deleted when one enters WozMon ?

40 €cent flash mem chip via SPI ; ECL as DIP IC

sorry for German lang quote. in short, there is a 40 €cent flash mem chip via SPI that Forth can talk to handily. maybe a great plug-in board for the gigatron! https://www.mouser.de/Search/Refine?Keyword=454-W25Q16JVSSIM but not in DIP , rather small outline package https://forth-ev.de/wiki/res/lib/...

seedForth - said to be real quick to port

https://fosdem.org/2020/schedule/event/forth_new_synthesis/ at the end of the talk, the lecturer makes the claim that seedForth can be ported to a new CPU within half a day, with the first half spent on reading the guide as a non-Forth programmer. only like 30 simple instructions to implement in vCP...

Re: associate the .gt1 filetype for web autoloading

in KDE Linux and Windows one can associate the .gt1 filetype with the emulator binary (.exe in win) such that if the .gt1 is clicked, it could launch the emulator without going through another file navigation process. Like you open any .odt file with the OpenOffice binary just with a double-click. B...
