Re: High resolution mode?
I was just rereading this thread, trying to understand better the various ideas proposed earlier, and i thought i would check on the availability of the 74LS298 Marcel suggested earlier as an ideal solution. Well it turns out its still in full production at TI ( in DIP no less) and there are over 15...

Re: New form factor Gigatron.
I know how challenging that can be. I actually do this kind of stuff for a living, and have done some insanely high-density layouts over the last bunch of years. Often I've had to rip up and reroute large areas of a board in order to squeeze in 'one last track' on a very dense board. Over the year's...

Re: In Circuit EPROM emulator and debugger
This is a fantastic addition for the Gigatron. well done! I am just ordering my Gigatron kit and already was scheming to do something similar. I'd like to modify your design a little to use a different RAM device: i found a non-volatile SRAM, which once programmed can be used stand-alone like the or...

Re: In memoriam Marcel
Deeply saddened to hear this tragic news. My sincere sympathies and condolences go out to his family. Having just recently discovered Gigatron i'm sorry i've never had a chance to interact with him, but reading the forums over the past couple of weeks, I am in awe of his tremendous brilliance, passi...
