Re: Extending the CTRL code space

I have already tested a 74HTC377 with 8 LEDs at the output on the new 13-pin header extension. It works very well. Bits: connect pins D[1..8] to the address lines A[8..15], pin CLK to /AUXCTRL, pin /G to /AUXDEV0. A binary counter runs with the following code: SYS_ExpanderControl_v4_40 EQU 0x0b09 sy...

Re: Can I build with HC rather than HCT series ICs ?

The clock generator U1 (74HTC04) does not work with the 74HC type. With the rest it should be possible. I think so.

Re: SDCard Browser for the RAM & IO expansion SPI port.

Very nice work. The speed is great. I just tested it with my current expansion (SD card to SPI0 and MCP23S17 to SPI1). Everything works.

Re: Video Repeater

This sounds like a good idea. If it would be possible to interpret 4 of the 12 available bits as address and 8 as output data and maybe select different 74HCT244N for the input, then we would have more than enough I/O ports. But this was just a spontaneous thought.

Re: 6Bit audio:

Thanks for the advice I will use the MCP6022. Of the available sources, Mouser is the best option for me. If in Germany I stay under a net value of goods of 50€ I pay 23,80€ shipping (after that free shipping). So I will look through the list of my open and planned projects and then order.

Re: Video Repeater

Thanks for the info on CUPL, I'm trying to get my head around it right now. My findings so far: I already noticed that the two GAL's are full. I want to stick to the basic idea of just ICS of the 80's. That's why I don't like the MCP23S17 on the board. A third GAL could solve this easily. The ctrl c...

Re: Video Repeater

If I understand the previous correctly, then it should be no problem to provide the data of A8..A14 on a port with an additional GAL in the IO expander. This is sufficient to supply the 4 blinking lights (for the 8 bit audio extension) and the video mode switching of the video repeater there would b...

Re: 6Bit audio:

I have been looking around for available IC's from local suppliers. There is the DAC0808LCN, TLC7524 and TLC7528CN which I get here for 2,50 to 6,00 €. The next one is the AD558JN for 27,52 (Reichelt), too expensive. The DAC0808 needs a second negative operating voltage (could be provided with somet...

Re: Pluggy Reloaded

I also thought of stm32duino, the code could be taken 1:1. The software for the USB keyboard is not that simple I think. I've only found one example of it so far, but haven't had time to try it out yet. The second thing would be the connection to a PC (USB->serial) would be nice if the STM could do ...
