Re: SDCard browser for Pluggy Reloaded:

That makes more sense, something probably can be done for TinyBasic, but it would have to be completely barebones, (i.e. no browser, flat file system etc). yes, the simple SAVE and LOAD commands would be fine and enough. About the browser: what about the Commodore system for the disk browser, a LOA...

Re: SDCard browser for Pluggy Reloaded:

Paper tape anyone? Something interesting on this side in the Altair-Duino group, take a look: https://groups.google.com/g/altair-duino/c/gTXT3jPUEQU The worst part is to build a puncher for tape roll from the scratch... it would also be nice to use common and available paper roll, like paper roll f...

Re: SDCard browser for Pluggy Reloaded:

Marcel wrote most of the firmware and I am just a contributor like everyone else. Yep, I said you wrote most of the CONTRIB software/firmware; and that's true, you're definitely one of the most active programmers for the Gigatron, your contribution was (and is) crucial for the Gigatron community. P...

Re: SDCard browser for Pluggy Reloaded:

you wrote most of the contrib software/firmware for the Gigatron, including the SDcard browser so of course you're one of the best guy to ask: do you think is it hard to develop some support for a virtual disk on the SD card (I mean: mount a virtual disk and use it from inside Gigatron) ?

Re: SDCard browser for Pluggy Reloaded:

Recently I got a Pluggy Reloaded and I mounted it on my first Gigatron using the NO_ROM option (I will use the ROM option on the 2nd Gigatron as soon as the missing 74hct will arrive from Aliexpress and eBay). As usual at67 did an awesome work on that, not to load the programs is like a breeze. I wa...

Re: Is it possible a floppy disk by Arduino on Gigatron?

You would pretty much have to duplicate what Norgate did with Pluggy Reloaded and his SD Card reader, as you surmised Arduino's run out of storage very quickly when using external libraries, i.e. I doubt you could fit the SD and floppy libraries in a typical device. yep, definitely the SD card read...

Is it possible a floppy disk by Arduino on Gigatron?

hi all, I was looking at the David Hansel's project (https://github.com/dhansel/ArduinoFDC) about to drive a floppy disk from an Arduino (various flavors) and I was wondering if there's a way to hook up a floppy disk drive to the Gigatron. Since the David's project uses the same pins used by Babelfi...

Re: whole board with 74LS

I used the HCT kind; but Walter built a board using just LS parts: viewtopic.php?p=1734#p1734

Re: Double your RAM:

hi all, I finally made the 64k upgrade. I decided for a different solution, I put a socket that can be used for both 32k and 64k chips. Since I hadn't a 32 pin socket (and frankly I'm too lazy to remove a 28 pin socket if I can avoid it ) I decided for a Frankenstein socket: I cut a portion of ...

Re: Gigatron vs. Arduino Uno

When I connect my software (or any other terminal software) through the (usb)serial to the Uno board I receive some weird chars (i.e.: "p°W8(ÓñS[¹$ß¡‹™[u"). If I send any ASCII char to the Arduino, the X1 red LED blinks but nothing happens. First get the serial communication working. Unti...
