Re: BASIC

A big Wow! That looks so cute ;-). But I couldn't upload the last TinyBASIC.gt1 file. Your older upload will load. I have the same trouble with frogstroll and sometimes also with my own gt1 compilations. Minor changes in the code size always get it work again. But I haven't investigated it deeper ye...

Re: C=64 Keyboard @ Gigatron

====================================== C=64 keyboard to gigatron - part 1 ====================================== { Btw it's original written in and "painted" with an old style monospaced or non-proportional ASCII font of your choice. That's a bit like writing on IT stone that last forever. ;-) } Le...

Re: C=64 Keyboard @ Gigatron

Absolutely brilliant! This deserves the keymap to be included and supported in future ROMs that have embedded terminal applications. So... we need a permutation of 64 values there for C64, and an identity mapping for ASCII? Hmm... sounds like a noise wave form and a sawtooth? What an evil opportuni...

C=64 Keyboard @ Gigatron

Maybe you have an old, unused, good or defect C=64 laying around in the dust because on your transparent shiny new gigatron TTL microcomputer Snake, Racer, Gigatris or Blocks are much more fun. :D But you miss a real pro typewriter like keyboard. That one the C=64 has in the old days. The long wait ...

Re: Keyboard hookup with minimal means (dream)

The C64 style matrix keyboard is quite a classic in the home brew scene, but with it you don't get to pick your key assignment. With a custom PCB you have a good chance to emit pure ASCII, with the key mapping issue nicely solved at the source! Your shift key line is positioned well for that, I lov...

Re: Keyboard hookup with minimal means (dream)

The C64 Keyboard is an 8x8 line matrix keyboard. Ideal to test with my circuit... Where is my old C64 ... :lol: Yes, I definitely try it!

Here is my final circuit/schematic {so far ;-)} and some of my first steps in GCL ...

Re: Keyboard hookup with minimal means (dream)

1. Brian Benchof just now featured this project on the HaD front page. It is a small build using tactile switches and two PCBs for structural integrity. Might give ideas. 2. I also want a matrix board of course. I still have that donor C64 . That keyboard is a dumb device, it doesn't even have diod...

Re: Keyboard hookup with minimal means (dream)

This Forum has some Glitches like in Matrix? Btw. It seems that I am controlling the Matrix :ugeek:. The last contribution is not mine!? But my original answer to at67 has vanished...? I copied it back into this answer: --- repost of the vanished answer to at67 --- Great stuff, hurry up and finish ...
