That's excellent news! I hope they will be able to continue supporting the community with hardware and software revision updates.
Budgetronics is just selling kits, any hard- or software updates should come from the community..

Re: 1000+ and Gigatron future

The Gigatron lives on! Dutch company Budgetronics is offering Gigatron kits. They are a bit different to what we used to ship though: - No wooden enclosure included - No game controller included - No manual included (you can download & print yourself) - Black PCB instead of green Since there's less ...

Re: Invader

Again, a very nice piece of software!

I hate it when the last invader goes so incredibly fast, I need to underclock the Gigatron to get a decent score.

I've put a version of the emulator with an Invader-only ROM online as well: https://gigatron.io/emu-invader/

Re: PucMon

There is 12782 bytes free for code, graphics and sound on a 32K RAM Gigatron and Puc's sprite graphics use up more than half of that alone, so I am pretty happy with the way Puc manifested itself. I have to say I had not noticed these things when playing. Haven't played the original for a long time...

Re: Invader

It's looking great. Is there info about how the algorithm works to be found on the internet, or did you have to recreate it just by looking at it?

Overview of hard/software subprojects

Here's an overview of some of the hardware projects that can be found on the forum and that have sort of a completed status. There are more projects (both hardware and software) that are still work in progress and could maybe use help (screen resolution doubling, FORTH, etc), look through the topics...
