Re: ROM adventures

That is fantastic. I just ran it on my hardware. Marcel would be chuffed to bits. MSCP was a bit part of his life.

Re: ROMv5 ?

Indeed I would see it as a nice way of having Marcel's work finalised in ROMv5a, which means that the new rom would be ROMv6.

Old microprocessors

I stumbled upon https://www.righto.com/2015/05/the-texa ... first.html

It's about the first microprocessor. I am posting it here, as it also discusses the speed (at the time) of MOS CPU's versus CPU's based on multiple TTL chips.

Tweaking the presentation until T-5min... been there, done that :-)

You spoke very kindly of Marcel and I too find it a comforting thought that his work has inspired others.

Re: PyCon UK Talk Proposal

Nice! Kudos for doing a whole talk with just one slide. I once did a presentation on TinyBSD, booting TinyBSD into RAM from a 3.5" floppy, then putting in a second floppy holding JPGs of the slides to show. The 486 I ran it on did not have a coprocessor so they loaded really slowly :-) I enjoye...
