Re: Gigatron ASIC and the Gametron Handheld
Just to document the month long effort before I disassemble it for parts. This was my initial attempt at prototyping with the Spartan 2 FPGA. (The SRAM has already been salvaged, and was probably why the proto never worked.) I only verified the proto as far as reading instructions from the OTP EPROM...

Re: my Gigatron RAM and IO expansion does not work
AFAIK, nobody has worked on a 12.5MHz compatible ROM beyond v3y.

Re: my Gigatron RAM and IO expansion does not work
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but you should be able to program any Babelfish version that includes Arduino Uno Loader support (which I suspect means all versions). You need python 3.x though. Marcel had updated Babelfish but didn't get the chance to update that page. Pluggy Reloaded sho...

Is 5V x16 flash/EEPROM a viable option? I know more folks with PROM programmers than UV erasers these days:P

Re: my Gigatron RAM and IO expansion does not work
Any chance you might have a spare GAL to reprogram GAL2 to rule out a bad part? (Not sure if you used the same GAL2 part to test both boards.) Did you already verify soldering on pin 21 of GAL2 and pin 17 of U4? If you do a continuity test with no power applied, is pin 21 shorted to GND? Can your PR...

If you're doing the PALs/GALs already, does it make sense to integrate the SPI/RAM Expander vs Pluggy Reloaded? https://github.com/lb3361/gigatron-lb/tree/main/extens...
