Re: ROM switch
I have tested a ROM switch with the 27C160 EPROM. The 27C160 can be programmed with a simple adapter via the TL866II. The 27C160 allows a selection of 16 ROM versions. The selected ROM is displayed with a 7 segment display (0..F). Switching is done by a push button. The switch is controlled by an AT...

Re: In Circuit EPROM emulator and debugger
I soldered all 5 boards from JLCPCB. All of them worked.
I tried to write down my experience here: https://github.com/hans61/Gigatron-TTL/ ... OMemulator
I still have two left. I can give the piece for 20€ plus shipping from Germany if there is interest.

Re: LCC for the Gigatron. Take two.
I tested it yesterday on different ROM (v5a, v7, vX0). It takes its time. It works without errors. It does not run on ROMvX0, but I think it is ok.

Re: In Circuit EPROM emulator and debugger
I only have the original files from this thread. Except for connecting pin 26 of the FDI with GND I have not changed anything.

Re: In Circuit EPROM emulator and debugger
I have just tested it again. Loading the ROM via SD card takes about one second. I couldn't get it to work with Tera Term via XMODEM. With HyperTerminal it loads the ROM in 47 seconds. Loading and running gt1 files via SD card or XMODEM also works very well. If there is a file ROM.BIN on the SD card...

Re: In Circuit EPROM emulator and debugger
I soldered it by hand. I also have a reflow oven (T-962). However, this is only worthwhile for larger quantities. With the stencil, the PCB then also becomes significantly more expensive. Hand soldering also has the advantage that you can test subassemblies. I used the oven when building the extensi...

Re: ROM switching:
I fear it too. I will test it. In that case, I think it would be good to add a reset button to the Gigatron in general. Then the MCP131 with a button against GND at the output, would be an alternative. At reset bouncing should not be a problem (I think).

Re: ROM switching:
Thanks for the hint. I didn't know the MCP131 yet. Before the Gigatron, I had nothing to do with these types of components. Unfortunately I could only find the MCP at Mouser so far. Here on site I only found it as an SMD. A wire would then have to be soldered on for the reset. I don't really want an...

Re: In Circuit EPROM emulator and debugger
Is there still contact with the author? I haven't been able to find anything since the end of this thread. Unfortunately, when I first saw this project, the LPC1114 was not available anywhere. I came back here by accident and found that you can now buy the LPC1114. I recreated it and think it's very...
