blaknite wrote: 22 Jul 2020, 23:20 Nice catch delpozzo, thanks! I've fixed it and updated the download in the OP.
Great job blaknite, the latest version works perfectly!

Re: Puzzles - A gem matching+smashing game

I got some feedback that for very fast players some input was being missed and that accidental restarts happened often. I've updated the gt1 in the OP to include improved responsiveness (no longer waits for vBlank to process input) and changed the restart button to "start". I think there ...

Re: Puzzles - A gem matching+smashing game

I really like the sounds as well, and the 5 minute timer ended up being perfect! My scores have been in the 2000s, with 2800 being my best so far:

2230
2300
2480
2800

Re: Gigatron ASIC?!?

Longer term, I'd have to look into whether I can find a suitable LCD display to make this a handheld!
A Gametron (or Gigaboy?) would be amazing :D

Re: Puzzles - A gem matching+smashing game

After playing your original version a handful of times, I can say that it definitely strikes a good balance between relaxing and challenging. It's great when it seems the end is near, then you finally get that life-saving smasher that levels everything! At first I was scoring between 100 and 350 bef...

Re: Invader

Fantastic job at67, the game runs beautifully on my Gigatron! (I'm currently running the latest DEVROM)
I hate it when the last invader goes so incredibly fast, I need to underclock the Gigatron to get a decent score.
I literally get anxiety when it comes down to the last invader

Re: at67 emulator

I've added some screenshots of features I've added to the Emulator over the past few months that I never really talked about; they can make your development with the Gigatron significantly simpler if used properly. This is great stuff at67, I am continuously surprised by all the features in this em...

Re: PucMon

I had a re-think about how I was drawing the ghosts and managed to save around 1500 bytes by drawing the ghosts skirts as an extra 12x1 sprite draw call, (effectively 9x1 with overlap), instead of the 12x9 whole sprite frame switch I was doing previously. Very clever! It worked well on my Gigatron ...

Re: My Gigatron Build

You can also upload .gt1, .gasm, .vasm and .gtbas files directly to your Gigatron through one of the above Arduino solutions using right click in my emulator. That is really cool at67, I didn't know your emulator could do that! I just tried it and it works if I enter the loader manually on my Gigat...
